🌟 Ktm 1090 Adventure R Problems Something so is impossible

I'm buying a mostly-road adventure/touring bike this year. So either KTM 1090 (or larger), Multistrada 1200S or Caponord 1200 ABS. Today was actually my bike demo day. I spent most of the day running around to the various dealers. I got to ride the two Italian bikes no fuss no muss.

According to official KTM figures, dry weight 790 R = 189 kg, 890 R = 196 kg. The weighed the 890Rally vs 790R rally comes with akro, and DID thinner wheels. And they said almost the same the diff was, about 2lb. #10.

Cruise control defect upon delivery which was the brake lever sensors, dealer replaced.

I kept looking until I found a few videos on YouTube made by a guy in Europe who owns a 1290 Adventure R. He appears to be an experienced rider and has a small offroad track he uses to test his settings. The first video I found were his settings for off road. He explained how his 1290 reacted before and after and why he adjusted what he did.

Fife, Scotland. This is working for me - stock S screen raised with 1290SA screen supports at highest/forward setting and a £35 chinese screen extension from ebay. I can have the extension higher, but I have to look through it which I don't like (it's super smooth though) so I've lowered it and angled it forward.

TFT problems. I just bought a 1290 sar in NZ, (upgrade from my 2014 triump tiger 800xc with 123000k on it from new all by me) only have 370 k's on it in the last 2 days. Dont have this issue yet but did have a weird one with the TFT this morning. turned the bike on TFT came on then went black. hit the starter to see if it was a battery issue

The 1x90 airbox thing is a 3-fold issue, the 1st issue having been fixed by KTM, the 2nd issue being pretty common to all bikes, and the 3rd issue being outliers. Issue 1 - The early bikes (13-14 1190's) had a filter retention design where air could get around the filter itself because it didn't seal the filter properly.

Oddometer: 50. Location: Southern Illinois. I just swapped out rear tires on the bike and took it out for a test ride to make sure everything was good. Above 35mph a warning comes up and says that the ABS failed. Light stays on. Turned the bike off, turned the ignition off and started it again. Did the same thing above 35mph.

So i was super excited to find a 2015 1190 adventure for a good price. After my dad got a 2019 1090 adventure r, i became fixated on getting a ktm myself. I flew down to mesa Arizona from vegas to ride the bike back. It ran beautifully for about 100 miles.
